Cross culture marriages in India aren’t just tough but sometimes impossible, or so we thought. But when the JD Photography team was invited to shoot the wedding of Jeevanth and Jaspinder, we were completely thrilled. This cross culture wedding of the splendid couple was an exciting project, and we got a chance to capture two completely different traditions - South Indian (Kerala) and North Indian (Punjab). Jeevanth and Jaspinder tied the knot both in Kerala and Punjabi style. The first was a temple wedding in authentic, Kerala style and on the 3rd day of the schedule, the couple got married in gurudwara as per Punjabi customs. From Kerala’s chenda melam to all the top Punjabi numbers, it was a musical evening of sound, light and laughter! During the shoot we candidly inquired about their love story, and their frank answer caught us off-guard. The couple met on an online platform and bonded immediately, but they didn’t meet for one whole year! Yet their love grew stronger and stronger by the day, and here they are happily married to each other. Love indeed conquers all obstacles.
